Hooks' Professional Banjo Trimmings's History

I am often asked why I make a "B. Gibbs" model bridge.  It is simple, Deering Banjo Co. has registered the name "S. S. Stewart" as a trademark and is sitting on it (since 1998) as well as a others like "Fairbanks" and "Cole".  So I could not call them "Stewart" model bridges without infringing on the Derring IP.

So why B. Gibbs?  Bolsover Gibbs was someone I discovered while reading old issues of the "S. S. Stewart Banjo & Guitar Journal".  He also composed some fine pieces that Stewart published.
